When people do so much for the art community, and give their all … they deserve recognition. This year, our coveted Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Santa Fe artist Joe Anna Arnett. She will be presented with the award on opening night of the 9th annual Plein Air Convention & Expo (PACE). (Save $300 when you register for PACE by August 31, 2020!)
The convention takes place August 11-15, with pre-convention workshops starting on August 10. Pre-convention workshops include a Basics Course for beginners featuring Carrie Curran, Liz Haywood-Sullivan, Christine Lashley, and Barbara Tapp. We’re also offering the return of Kevin Macpherson with a pre-convention painting workshop where he will reveal his core principles for success.
The Plein Air Convention, hosted by PleinAir magazine, is five days of indoor training with big-screen TVs on four stages, with painting demonstrations, talks, and roundtable discussions and sessions in oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and gouache. There will also be daily art marketing sessions to help artists sell their artwork.
The show also features a giant Expo Hall of art materials, which is open to the public for free, and an art show of instructors and attendee artwork.
