The magnetic works of Hsin-Yao Tseng and George Bodine will grace the walls of Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara this fall. When?

October 14 marks the opening of an exciting plein air exhibition at Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara, California. The two-man show will feature new paintings by award-winning artists Hsin-Yao Tseng and George Bodine and will continue through the month.

Hsin-Yao Tseng, “Let’s Ride,” oil, 12 x 16 inches
Hsin-Yao Tseng, “Walking Through Market,” oil, 14 x 11 inches

Tseng will be featuring 18 new paintings with a variety of subjects. Many include figurative subjects in both outdoor and indoor settings. A particular highlight is a captivating image of a blacksmith nearly elbow-deep in flames; incredible is how the picture was captured with a few adroit strokes!

George Bodine, “Dark Earth,” oil, 36 x 18 inches
George Bodine, “Burning,” oil, 12 x 9 inches
George Bodine, “Cool June,” oil, 12 x 16 inches

Bodine will showcase 13 new works, each of which is figurative in subject. Rendered with a higher degree of tightness, the works will pose an engaging juxtaposition with Tseng’s more expressive approach.
