Brienne Brown: In May, Brienne returned to her home state of Utah to paint with friends. Surrounded by brilliant red rock colors, she painted “Colors of the Reef” and “Desert Compliments.” The subtle shifts of hue and rich shadow colors are best seen in person. By painting on site, Brown can take lessons learned back into her Pennsylvania studio and create works like “Day for Exploring.” This process infuses more life and excitement into her watercolors.
