The 1st Annual Shadows-on-the-Teche Plein Air Competition will be held April 11-18 at a historic site in New Iberia, Louisiana. Shadows-on-the-Teche is the name given to the mansion and gardens built in the 1830s by David and Mary Weeks, the owners of four sugar-cane plantations.

Phil Sandusky will be the judge for the event, which boasts more than $3,000 in prizes. Sandusky also heads up the committee jurying entries, which are due by February 15. Get more info here.
