The Connecticut Schooner Festival offers New England painters the chance to depict majestic ships this week.
This schooner, Mystic, will be on view as well.
The festival starts today in Mystic, Connecticut, and continues until Friday, when the ships will sail to New London, where events will include burning an effigy of Benedict Arnold, who was responsible for a British invasion during the Revolutionary War that resulted in the burning of a substantial part of New London.
