Earlier this year, landscape painter Michele Byrne earned a “Best Selling Video of the Year” award from Streamline Publishing for her second art video workshop, “Palette Knife Painting with Michele Byrne.” Michele tells us she’s “thrilled and honored.”
“After painting city street scenes on location for over 20 years, I have come to enjoy talking to people when I paint,” Michele says. “This has taught me to verbalize my painting process and I can easily transcribe my thoughts into a down-to-earth teaching vocabulary.
“I teach my brush/knife technique in this video, and I also go over design, perspective, value, and color. You can just add a bit of knife work to your pieces, or do the whole painting with a knife. The combinations are endless.
“Learning to use a palette knife along with decisive brush strokes can greatly enhance your painting style…and it’s FUN!”
