Forty-six artists had a hot time in Salisbury, North Carolina, recently during the NC Open Plein Air Paint Out. Who won under the sun?
 
Larry Rudolech took First Place with his oil painting “South Main and Military.” Second Place went to Scott Boyle for “Gold Hill Cottage,” and Dottie Leatherwood won Third with “Down a Quarry Road.” Twelve artists earned Honorable Mention.

Chad Smith served as judge. Organizers are considering moving the event to September next year to avoid the hot weather.
